On the auspicious day of Gudhi Padwa, resolves are made for the New Year and hence, this Holy festival has great importance. The times ahead are very adverse and events related to the Nation and Dharma of the recent past are only an indication of what is in store.
Today, anti-national and anti-Dharma speeches are being termed ‘Freedom of expression’. On the one hand, political parties are ignoring the killing of Hindus as well as the ever-increasing atrocities on them, whereas on the other hand, there is persistent appeasement of fanatic non-Hindus. As a result, in the times to come there will be large scale polarization of citizens into patriots and traitors to the Nation, followers of Dharma and traitors to Dharma.
During such adverse times patriotic Hindus will have to stand by Dharma; for, this conflict will assume in entirety the form of Dharma against adharma (Righteousness against unrighteousness). Sadly today, some large and established organisations that are devoted to serving the Nation are taking an anti-Dharma stance. These organisations should realise that their anti-Dharma stance today will push them to the obscurity of anti-Dharma company tomorrow. A Sanskrut adage says, ‘Wherever there is Dharma, victory follows’. This is an assurance given by Dharma.
Dharma, meaning God, will not protect those who do not stand by Dharma during the conflict of Dharma; consequently, their destruction is a foregone conclusion. This is the reason Hindus must develop the qualification to stand by Dharma in the times to come. Abiding by Sanatan Dharma, having faith in its doctrines, traditions and Saints who are responsible for spread of Dharma, will develop in common Hindus the qualification necessary to stand by Dharma. O’ Hindus, commence this task of developing such a qualification from the auspicious day of Gudhi Padwa !
