Positive effect of reciting the Shrimadbhagawadgeeta on a lady-seeker
who was suffering from spiritual distress and a seeker who was not suffering from spiritual distress
The study of Shrimad-bhagawadgeeta (also referred to as Bhagawadgeeta or Geeta) unravels the knowledge of do’s and don’ts of life. Geeta guides those who have gone astray and reassures unhappy and distraught people. Every word in the Geeta is charged with Chaitanya (Divine consciousness). Geeta is a Holy Scripture that guides on various Paths of Yoga – Path of Renunciation, Jnanayoga, Karmayoga, Dhyanayoga, Bhaktiyoga, etc. On 5.12.2018, an experiment was conducted by ‘Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay’ using the ‘UTS (Universal Thermo Scanner)’ in Sanatan Ashram at Ramnathi, Goa to study the effect of reciting Shrimadbhagawadgeeta on an individual. The nature of the experiment, observations and their analysis are presented here.
1. The nature of the experiment
In this experiment, UTS readings of a lady-seeker who was suffering from severe spiritual distress (Note) and a seeker not suffering from spiritual distress were recorded before and after reciting the shlokas (Specifically denote a metered and often rhymed poetic verse or phrase. Shlokas are usually part of stotras which are prayers to the Deities.) from the 18th Chapter of Shrimadbhagawadgeeta. Subsequently, these readings were compared. It took about 20-25 minutes for both the seekers to read the 18th Chapter of Shrimadbhagawadgeeta as they are not used to reading in Sanskrut.
Note – Spiritual distress : Spiritual distress means the concerned individual has negative vibrations. If these vibrations are 50% and above, the distress is ‘severe’, between 30% and 49%, it is ‘moderate’ distress, and less than 30% is ‘mild’ distress. Spiritual distress is caused due to spiritual reasons such as destiny, distress due to ancestors. Saints or seekers who have subtle perception ability can analyse this distress.
Note for readers : Due to shortage of space we have given the common features of UTS on goo.gl/tBiGXa (Please note that some letters are in Caps) – Introduction to UTS, Various components of the scientific experiment conducted with the instrument and description, Measuring the aura of an object using the UTS, Procedure and precautions taken for the consistency in the readings, Tabulated observations, etc.
2. UTS observations and their analysis
2A. Analysis of the observations pertaining to negative energy
2A 1. Infrared energy in the lady-seeker who was suffering from severe spiritual distress reduced upon reciting Shrimadbhagawadgeeta
Before the recitation, infrared and ultraviolet energies were present in the lady-seeker who was suffering from severe spiritual distress, and the energy auras were 1.58 metres and 0.98 metre respectively. Upon reciting the Shrimadbhagawadgeeta, the aura of the infrared energy in the lady-seeker reduced by 0.58 metre and the ultraviolet energy in her was completely eliminated. UTS considers infrared and ultraviolet to be negative energies.
2A 2. Infrared energy in the seeker who was not suffering from spiritual distress getting completely eliminated upon reciting Shrimadbhagawadgeeta
Before the recitation, infrared energy was present in the seeker who was not suffering from spiritual distress and its aura was 1.32 metres. Upon reciting the Shrimadbhagawadgeeta, the infrared energy in the seeker was completely eliminated. Ultraviolet energy was not found in him.
2B. Analysis of the observations pertaining to positive energy
It is not necessary that every individual, object or premises will have positive energy.
2B 1. Creation of positive energy upon reciting Shrimadbhagawadgeeta in the lady-seeker who was suffering from severe spiritual distress
In the beginning, there was no positive energy found in the lady-seeker who was suffering from severe spiritual distress. Upon reciting the Shrimadbhagawadgeeta, positive energy was created in her and its aura was 1.32 metres.
2B 2. Upon reciting Shrimadbhagawadgeeta, positive energy increased in the seeker who was not suffering from spiritual distress
Positive energy was present in the seeker who was not suffering from spiritual distress and its aura was 1.91 metres. Upon reciting the Shrimadbhagawadgeeta, positive energy in him increased by 0.83 metre.
2C. Analysis of the observations pertaining to the total measured aura (Note)
Note – Total measured aura : The total aura of an individual or object is measured by using the concerned individual’s saliva or a dust particle on the object or a small portion of the object as a sample.
2C 1. The total measured positive aura of the lady-seeker who was suffering from severe spiritual distress and the seeker who was not suffering from spiritual distress increased
Generally, the aura of an individual or object is 1 metre. The total positive aura of the lady-seeker who was suffering from severe spiritual distress and the seeker who was not suffering from any spiritual distress was 2.11 metres and 2.41 metres respectively. Upon reciting the Shrimadbhagawadgeeta, their total positive aura increased by 0.46 metre and 0.92 metre respectively.
3. Conclusion
A. There was a distressing energy centre due to the negative energy distress in the lady-seeker who was suffering from severe spiritual distress. There was also a covering of distressing energy around her. The distressing energy in the distressing energy centre in her body is indicated as ultraviolet energy. The distressing energy covering around the body is indicated as infrared energy. After reciting the Shrimadbhagawadgeeta, ultraviolet energy (which was in the distressing energy centre in the body of the lady-seeker suffering from severe spiritual distress) was completely destroyed and infrared energy around the lady-seeker reduced significantly. Positive energy too was created in her.
Creation of positive energy in the lady-seeker who was suffering from severe spiritual distress is noteworthy.
Negative energy was present to some extent around the seeker who was not suffering from spiritual distress. In the present phase of Kaliyug (Era of strife), the environment is Raja-Tama-predominant; therefore, a distressing energy covering can develop even around those who are not suffering from spiritual distress. The covering around the seeker was completely eliminated and positive energy in him increased because of reciting Shrimadbhagawadgeeta. All this was possible because of the positive energy in Shrimadbhagawadgeeta.
B. Distressing energy covering around an individual can easily be eliminated due to positive energy; however, to eliminate the distressing energy in the distressing energy centre in an individual, a very large amount of positive energy is required. Both these things were achieved by reciting Shrimadbhagawadgeeta for merely 20-25 minutes. This scientific experiment has revealed that reciting Shrimadbhagawadgeeta is very beneficial from the spiritual perspective. Shrimadbhagawadgeeta comprises the philosophy directly narrated by Bhagawan Shrikrushna. In the entire world, there is no Holy Scripture as unique as Shrimadbhagawadgeeta. Besides reciting Shrimadbhagawadgeeta, if the Principles it mentions are practised in day-to-day life, it will make the life of any individual prosperous in the true sense and will lead him to God-realisation – the very purpose of life.

Upon reciting the Shrimadbhagawadgeeta, the infrared energy (Negative energy) in the seeker was completely eliminated !
Importance of Shrimadbhagawadgeeta acknowledged by European scholars
Shrimadbhagawadgeeta has been translated into 192 languages across the world. Many European and American scholars have unreservedly praised it. Once someone asked a Thoreau, a western philosopher – “What makes your conduct and opinions so noble ?” He replied promptly, “I read Shrimadbhagawadgeeta every day at dawn.”
