Shri Brahmacharini Devi temple is located in Kashi (Uttar Pradesh) at the Durga Ghat. Her appearance is effulgent and expansive. She holds a japmala (beaded necklace used for chanting) in one hand and a kamandalu (metal pot with water) in the other. Devotees believe that a vision of this Devi unites you with Parabrahman (Supreme God Principle). Shri Brahmacharini Devi is worshipped on the second day of the Navaratri. Thousands of devotees from Kashi and other places come here to take darshan of the Goddess.
In this temple, along with the idol of Shri Brahmacharini Devi there are paduka (foot imprints) of the Goddess , Shivapindi, and idols of Deity Surya (Sun Deity), Shri Annapurnadevi and Shri Lakshminarsinha.
Sanatan Sanstha’s Saint, Sadguru (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil has toured India for more than 4 years and has collected photographs of ancient temples, architectures, forts and objects worth preserving. That is why we are able to pay reverence to such divine ancient temples and premises sitting in comfort at home. So, let us offer gratitude unto the Holy feet of Paratpar Guru (Dr) Jayant Athavale and Sadguru (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil for this !
