H.H. Dr Athavale studying Spiritual Science under the guidance of various Saints !

1. Information obtained regarding H.H. Anna Karandikar,
a Saint from Dahanu and on meeting him, H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale
feeling sure of getting guidance from him

H.H. Anna Karandikar, a Saint from Dahanu used to come to Dadar to see patients in an ‘Ayurvediya’ Hospital, thrice in a month. At that time, H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale  was studying spiritual science on experimental basis. H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale’s friend told him about H.H. Anna Karandikar. After meeting H.H. Karandikar, H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale felt sure that he would get guidance as desired by him from H.H. Anna Karandikar.

2. H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale recieves invitation
from an American University for giving lecture

H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale had received an invitation for lecture from one university in USA before he met H.H. Anna Karandikar. During that period, it was Christmas vacation; so he made inquiry with the University thinking that there might not be proper arrangements for stay due to the vacation. His doubt was confirmed by the university and H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale was told by the university that it would be better to come there in the following month.

3. H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale didn’t accept job in USA as He was certain
that he would get knowledge about spirituality only in Bharat

After getting advice from the university to go there in the following month, in the mean time, H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale used to go to H.H. Anna Karandikar. Owing to the guidance given by H.H. Anna, H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale realized that he would get money, name and fame in USA but the knowledge on spirituality as wanted by him, could be obtained only in Bharat. Therefore, H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale decided not to go to USA and informed the university accordingly.

4. Going to H.H. Anna Karandikar regularly after cancelling to go to USA

H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale used to write down his questions before he used to meet H.H. Anna in Dadar during the 3 days that he used to visit. On those 3 days, after examining patients in the afternoon and evening, he used to ask questions to H.H. Anna.

5. H.H. Anna’s affection towards H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale

After some time, H.H. Anna Karandikar started extending his visit by one day for H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale. Some times H.H. Anna used to call his wife and tell her to inform H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale not to come on certain day but within half an hour, he used to again call her and tell her to inform H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale to come soon; therefore, his wife used to tell H.H. Anna that she wouldn’t come between him and H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale It shows the affection H.H. Anna had for H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale.

6. H.H. Anna saying that H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale
came to him late and its meaning was realized later

After some time, H.H. Anna said to H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale, “You have come to me very late.” H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale thought H.H. Anna said so because he was 45 years old when he met H.H. Anna; but later, H.H. Anna was diagnosed with cancer of intestine and some part of his intestine had to be removed; so what he meant by H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale coming late was understood at that time.

7. Decision of closing down one shift in hospital for studying
advanced spiritual science though it was doing well

As per the guidance given by H.H. Anna, H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale wanted to undertake further study in spiritual science; therefore, he decided to close down one shift of his hospital though it was doing well. Sou. Kundatai, wife of H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale and his elder brother Appa (famous pediatrician late (Pujya) Dr. Vasant Athavale) used to go with him to H.H. Anna.

8. H.H. Anna Karandikar teaches H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale to study the Subtle

As H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale started going to H.H. Anna for clarification of his doubts on spiritual science, he started experimenting with acquiring knowledge from Subtle realm. H.H. Anna also got done practical aspect of understanding things from the Subtle, from H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale. He taught H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale as how to make subtle observations; how to ask and get answers from God; how to give spiritual experiences to others through Subtle etc.

9. Seeking guidance from other Saints out of ‘jidnyasa’

H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale used to go to even other Saints such as Malangshah Baba, ‘Pujya’ Kane Maharaj, Hari Om Bagave and H.H. Joshi baba (senior) for guidance.

10. H.H. Anna Karandikar advising H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale
to regard H.H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj as his Guru

H.H. Anna Karandikar and H.H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj knew each other since a long time. H.H. Anna himself used to take many seekers to H.H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj. He even told H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale to regard H.H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj as his Guru and told H.H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj to make H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale as his disciple.

11. Various Saints taking care of H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale whenever needed

One Saint who was in contact with H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale used to practise spirituality following ‘aghori ’ path. H.H. Anna used to tell H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale about the same so that he didn’t experience any distress and used to take measures to protect H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale. An example of the same is – He had advised H.H. Kane Maharaj to stay at residence of H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale at Sion for 35 days. Later, when that Saint was at the residence of H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale at Sion, H.H. Anna and H.H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj decided to go to H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale As they reached Sion, the Saint following ‘aghori’ path left H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale’s house and never visited H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale again. Thus, many Saints have been taking care of H.H. Dr Jayant Athavale whenever needed and taking such care even now.
