2. Spiritual remedies

2A. Chanting

2A 1. Apa-tattva mudra and Deity Varun

Our ring finger is associated with Apatattva (Absolute Water Principle). Therefore, whenever body heat increases, touch the tip of the thumb with the tip or the base of the ring finger performing the mudra of Apatattva and chant the Name ‘श्रीवरुणाय नमः |’ for minimum of half an hour. An alternative is to chant the bijamantra वं which is also associated with Apatattva. This reduces the Tejtattva (Absolute Fire Principle) in our body and gradually increases Apatattva.

2A 2. Chanting the Name of tarak form of Deities and Shriram

Chanting the Name of the tarak (Saviour) form of a Deity emits saviour energy of the Deity and chanting the Name of marak (Destroyer) form of a Deity emits destroyer energy of the Deity. The frequencies of saviour energy are cooling whereas the frequencies of destroyer energy are warming. Therefore, when body heat increases one must chant the Name of saviour form of a Deity for at least 1 hour. Among the chants of the Name of all Deities, chanting the Name of saviour form of Shriram for at least 1 hour imparts more coolness to the body and peace to the mind. During the churning of the ocean of milk when Deity Shiva consumed halahal (the deadly poison), His body heat increased immensely. To reduce His body heat, he adorned the moon on His forehead, river Ganga in His hair, 9 snakes over His body and applied sacred ash to His body, but despite all these measures the heat did not subside. He then chanted the Name of Shriram which finally reduced His body heat.

Among the thousand Names of Shrivishnu, the Name Shriram is the most superior. Uttering the Name of Shriram thrice is equivalent to reciting the thousand Names of Shrivishnu.

2B. Pranayam

When Suryanadi (The Sun channel, one of the main channels of the spiritual energy system located to the right of the body) of an individual is active, its increases body heat. Our right nostril is associated with Suryanadi and left nostril is associated with Chandranadi (The moon channel, one of the main channels of the spiritual energy system located to the left of the body). When we try to breathe in as well as breathe out from our left nostril for 5-10 minutes, our Chandranadi becomes active. Also, when we sleep on our right side for 15 to 20 minutes, our Suryanadi becomes inactive and Chandranadi becomes active, thereby reducing our body heat.

2C. Salt-water healing

Accumulation of distressing energy in our body also causes our body heat to increase. In such case immerse the feet in salt water and sit for 15 to 20 minutes. By doing this, the distressing energy from our body gets pulled into the salt water thereby reducing the body heat. This self healing method is outlined here.

2D. Spiritual healing with empty boxes

2D 1. Holding empty boxes in front of the mouth

If heat increases in the mouth, open the mouth and hold empty boxes in front of it for 15 to 20 minutes. This draws the distressing energy stored in the mouth into the empty boxes thereby reducing the body heat.

2D 2. Placing feet in empty boxes

If the soles of the feet experience a burning sensation, then sit with both the legs placed in a large empty box for 20 to 30 minutes. This draws the distressing energy or the body heat into the empty space present in the boxes thereby reducing the body heat.

These self healing methods are outlined here.

3. Music therapy

Raag Meghmalhar is associated with Apatattva (Absolute Water Principle). Raag Kedar and raag Malkauns are associated with Shiva tattva. Raag Amrutvarshini is associated with Apatattva. – Ms Tejal Patrikar (Sangeet Visharad)

Shiva tattva is active in raag Kedar and Malkauns. This Principle is subtle in nature and is associated with Akashtattva (Absolute Ether Principle). Our body heat is associated with Tejtattva. Therefore, our body heat increases whenever Tejtattva increases in our body. Listening to or singing raagas Kedar, Malkauns, Meghmalhar for 15-20 mins increases the Akashtattva or Apatattva in the body, reducing the Tejatattva. The increases body heat subsides cooling the body down.

Again, individual nature may respond differently. Some benefit from listening to raag associated with Principle of Deity Shiva, i.e. Akashtattva, and others get benefited after listening to raag associated with Apatattva.
