Our expressed desire activates God’s expressed resolve !

1. Underlying science in the reduction
in distress upon speaking with H.H. Dr. Athavale

I have experienced many times that by merely telling H.H. Dr. Athavale about some spiritual distress or obstacle in sadhana (Spiritual practice), these reduce greatly even though for a short period. When I contemplated over the reason for this, I realised the following aspect.

When speaking with H.H. Dr. Athavale about some spiritual distress or obstacle in sadhana, an unexpressed desire that these get eliminated is present. Even an unexpressed resolve in this respect by H.H. Dr. Athavale becomes active according to the principle of ‘image and its reflection’. As a result, the extent of distress or obstacle reduces greatly even though for a short period. From this example, one more face of H.H. Dr. Athavale’s greatness is understood. The underlying science in offering a prayer unto God is also realised as given ahead.

2. Science underlying praying to God with faith and bhav

When we pray to God, we ask Him for something, meaning, the seeker or devotee has an expressed desire. God’s expressed resolve for the seeker or devotee gets activated in a similar manner as stated above.

As a result, the seeker or devotee has a spiritual experience that his desire has been fulfilled. However, to be able to experience this, the prayer needs to be replete with faith and bhav (Spiritual emotion).

3. It is more appropriate to try to speak
with God than to speak with H.H. Dr. Athavale

We can speak with H.H. Dr. Athavale about major obstacles in sadhana, guidance on the Guru’s mission etc. The following aspects were realised on why we should try to speak with God instead of speaking with H.H. Dr. Athavale on such issues.

A. Our faith in God too should enhance.

B. H.H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj (Sanatan’s source of Inspiration) used to say, “Do not ask me questions. Ask only the Name (Chanting) questions”. We should be able to attain this stage.

C. One teaching of H.H. Dr. Athavale is – ‘Go to Shrikrushna’. By having bhav only for His physical form, having a consistent desire to meet Him, asking Him about the obstacles in sadhana, etc. may result in getting entangled in His physical form.
