Thousands of Hindus determined to unite for the protection of Sanatan Dharma!
Fluttering saffron flags, tala-mridung-clad warkaris, self-defense demonstrations by Ranaraginis, and married women adorned in traditional Nauvari sarees were the attractions of the Dindi (procession)!
Pune – On the occasion of Sanatan Sanstha’s Silver Jubilee, more than 9 thousand Hindus gathered in Pune on Sunday evening to counter ‘criticism of Sanatan Dharma’ and to enhance its glory. Over 20 different sects and organizations participated in this event. The Dindi was honored at various places in Pune city by drawing rangolis and showering it with flowers.
After the dharmadhwaj was worshipped by Shri. Rajendra Balakawade, trustee of ‘Shrimati Lakshmibai Dagdusheth Halwai Datta Mandir’ and Shri. Sunil Rasane, Vice President of ‘Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Trust’, the ‘Sanatan Gaurav Dindi’ commenced from Bhikardas Maruti Temple (from Maharana Pratap Udyan) in Pune, accompanied by a devotional atmosphere resonating with the chanting of deities’ names.
Sanatan’s saints such as Sadhguru Swati Khadaye, Pujya Gajanan Balwant Sathe, Pujya (Mrs.) Sangita Patil, and Pujya (Mrs.) Manisha Pathak graced the occasion with their presence. Additionally, the General Secretary of ‘Swatantryaveer Savarkar Vichar Manch’ Shri. Vidyadhar Nargolkar, ‘Maharashtra Gouseva’ President Shri. Shekhar Mundada, President of ‘Shri Sampradaya’ Sou. Surekha Gaikwad, Shri. Gaikwad, President of ‘Patit Pawan Association’ Pune Shri. Swapnil Naik, Executive Director of ‘Grahak Peth’ Shri. Suryakant Pathak, National Spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha Shri. Chetan Rajhans, and Maharashtra Organizer of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and State Coordinator of Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh Shri. Sunil Ghanwat were also present.
In addressing the issue, the National Spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha, Shri. Chetan Rajhans, emphasized the organization’s 25-year commitment to serving Sanatan Hindu Dharma. He highlighted Sanatan Sanstha’s unwavering dedication to promoting religious unity and safeguarding the faith by confronting challenges faced by Sanatan Dharma, refuting baseless accusations, and encouraging Hindus to embrace and practice their religion. Rajhans emphasized the need for Hindus to unite and respond effectively to challenges against Sanatan Dharma, equating it to combating diseases like dengue and malaria. He emphasized that thousands of Hindus have come together to participate in the ‘Sanatan Gaurav Dindi’ on the occasion of Sanatan Sanstha’s Silver Jubilee as a unified response.
More than 70 teams with palanquins of Gods and Saints!
Palkhis bearing the pictures of Deities such as Shri Tulja Bhawani Mata, Shri Vitthal and Rukmini Mata, Shri Bhavani Mata, Shri Khandoba-Mhalsadevi, Sant Sopandev, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and Dr. Satchidananda Parabrahman Dr. Jayant Athavale the founder of Sanatan Sanstha, participated in the ‘Sanatan Gaurav Dindi’. More than 70 teams participated in the Dindi with each palanquin carrying images of gods and saints. They chanted the name of Shri Ram along the way. The main attractions of the Dindi included Suvasinis (married women) dressed in traditional sarees, Sadhaks in attire reflecting Hindu culture, activists, women carrying tulsi plants, representations of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Shivraya’s Mawla (Soldiers), Baji Prabhu Deshpande, children dressed as Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, and ‘Ranragini’ demonstrating self-defense techniques. More than 70 teams, comprising over 20 spiritual institutions, organizations, sects, and trustees of temples, participated in the Dindi. Devotees, dignitaries, and officials welcomed the Dindi at more than 12 locations along the route, where religious flags were worshipped.
The ‘Sanatan Gaurav Dindi’ concluded on the grounds of Sou. Vimalabai Garware School in front of the Swatantryaveer Savarkar Memorial. Various dignitaries shared their thoughts on this occasion. Finally, Shri. Chaitanya Tagde from Sanatan Sanstha Pune expressed gratitude to everyone who participated in the Dindi.
