‘Sanatan seekers Purohit Pathshala’ was established on 30th April 2008 under the guidance of Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale for those who are capable of studying the Vedas, Scriptures, etc. He guided those who would take this education to perform every religious ritual as their spiritual practice on understanding its underlying science.
Various Yajnas (Sacrificial fires) are performed at Sanatan’s Ashram at Ramnathi, Goa. He attends some of these Yajnas despite facing extreme fatigue due to His illness. During His presence, He closely observes the various actions being performed by Sanatan’s priests, and also understands the underlying science. He is Omniscient; yet, He wants to understand even the smallest of actions. He has yearning that the priests understand the science underlying every action while performing Yajnas or other religious acts. |
1. After offering Namaskar to a visiting priest by
uttering the Gotra (as performed during Sandhya),
Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale understanding the
underlying science of offering such a Namaskar
Once a priest came to Sanatan’s Ashram. While offering him Namaskar, we also uttered the Gotra (Lineage) as performed during Sandhya (Ritualistic worship of the Sun Deity to be performed daily at sunrise, noon and sunset by all those whose thread ceremony has been done). At that time, Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale asked us, “What is the underlying science of such a Namaskar ?” He also asked whether such a Namaskar is offered only when a priest arrives or at other times too. This reminded us of a scientist. When a scientist was praised about his knowledge, he said, “The Knowledge I have now is not even a speck of sand on the endless beach”. Likewise, despite being Omniscient, Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale remains in a state of continuous learning; therefore, He is an ideal in the eyes of society.
2. Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale studied the science underlying mudras made while accepting Tirtha and asked us to publish it in Daily ‘Sanatan Prabhat’
Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale is given Tirtha (Sacred liquid) every day while reciting mantras. At one such time, He asked us to study the science underlying the making of a specific mudra (A body or hand posture used for directing the flow of spiritual energy into the Sushumnanadi) while accepting Tirtha, about which He had read in a Monthly Periodical. He asked us to publish this information in Daily ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ too, so that everyone learns about it. He used to pray before consuming the Tirtha. Later, we would recite a mantra.
2.A. Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale understanding the meaning
of the mantra which was recited while He was consuming Tirtha and saying
that there is no need to pray separately since the meaning of the mantra is itself a form of prayer
After some days, He understood the meaning of the mantra. He made us realise that since the meaning of the mantra (which was recited while He was consuming Tirtha) is itself a form of prayer, there is no need to pray separately. From this incident, we realised how Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale understands every aspect with curiosity and inspires others to create similar curiosity in themselves. At that time, we remembered a quote of Saint Bhaktaraj Maharaj – ‘Only the curious are worthy of receiving Knowledge’, and realised that we should also create a similar curiosity.

Only after every action in any ritual is performed according to the Scriptures, the fruit of the ritual is obtained completely !
Individual spiritual experiences of seekers published here are according to the Principle – ‘Where there is bhav (Spiritual emotion), there is God’. It is not that every individual will have similar experiences. |
