Felicitation by Sanatan Sanstha’s Dharmapracharak His Holiness Ramanand Gowda
Shivamogga (Karnataka) – ‘Just as there are several Saints who have realised God by performing spiritual practice so also there are people who have attained Sainthood by communion with God through day-to-day activities. Some of them are Saint Janabai who called God to grind grains to prepare flour with Her, the gardener Saint Savata Maharaj who grew vegetables in His field, the potter Saint Gora Kumbhar whose pots echoed the Name of God. These saints displayed a unique Divine play. In today’s Kaliyug which is Raja-Tama predominant famous sculptor Mr. Kashinath K. who remains in constant communion with God has attained Sainthood.’ This announcement was made by Sanatan’s Dharmapracharak, H.H. Ramanand Gowda. While honouring Him, H.H. Ramanand Gowda read the message sent by Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale stating “Kashinath K. has become a Saint due to His virtue of becoming one with the God Principle while making idols or sculptures. He does it with spiritual emotion and without any expectations.’ The felicitation took place at a function held in Shivamogga (Karnataka) on December 19, 2019 in the presence of H.H. Kashinath K.’s brothers Mr. Dnyaneshwar and Mr. Narayan, nephew Pravin (son of Mr. Dnyaneshwar), wife Mrs. Umabai, younger sister Mrs. Renuka, brother-in-law Mr. Shridhar, disciples Mr. Bangarswami, Mr. Pandurang and a friend, retired postmaster Mr. Basavaraj.
1. This was how the announcement was made
After H.H. Ramanand Gowda guided seekers on personality defect removal and ego removal, a CD about H.H. Kashinath was shown. Seekers learnt a lot from it, about how H.H. Kashinath renders seva, what spiritual emotion He has when sculpting etc. H.H. Ramanand Gowda said that in the process of sculpting idols of Deities H.H. Kashinath had inculcated divine virtues in Himself and hence attained Sainthood.
2. H.H. Kashinath K’s message to seekers
Perform every action with the spiritual emotion that ‘I am doing this for God and that He is watching me’. This will help you in doing the seva with concentration.
3. Mr. Dnyaneshwar K. (brother of H.H. Kashinath)
My brother is my Guru (spiritual Master) and I have learnt sculpting from him. We have imbibed this art from our maternal grandfather.
4. Mr. Narayan K. (younger brother of H.H. Kashinath)
H.H. Kashinath is our brother due to merits from past births. It appears like he was born in Karnataka because God wanted him to preserve the art of Kannada sculpture.
A unique feature of the family of H.H. Kashinath is that all family members are artists.
5. Virtues of H.H. Kashinath observed by seekers
A. Mr. Raju Sutar (Idol making section, Sanatan ashram, Ramnathi) – When I met H.H. Kashinath for the first time I thought that He must be a Saint. I observed that He always remained in the state of bliss and spiritual emotion. After I learnt that He would be guiding me in idol making I was extremely happy and expressed gratitude at the Holy feet of Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale. Very lovingly He explained to me what efforts are required to prevent increase in ego while preparing an idol. Despite being 75 years old, He does not look tired. In fact every moment that I was with Him, I experienced enthusiasm.
B. Mr. Ramanand Parab (Idol making section, Sanatan ashram, Ramnathi) – Despite H.H. Kashinath being a great sculptor, He leads a simple life. As H.H. Kashinath guruji has spiritual love (priti), one experiences bliss and enthusiasm in His company. I too felt that He is a Saint. I observed that while sculpting an idol, He becomes one with it, in fact remains in a meditative state. I realised that in His company my spiritual emotion was getting awakened easily. He said that with immense faith in the Guru one can accomplish any form of art easily.
H.H. Kashinath showers praises on Sanatan ashram
The Sanatan ashram is Devlok (region of Deities) itself !
I happened to visit Sanatan’s Ramnathi ashram some days ago and I liked the lifestyle of seekers residing there. I perceived a Divine atmosphere there. Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Jayant Balaji Athavale is striving to protect the Sanatan Dharma, and to preserve and develop every form of art. His seekers too have sacrificed everything – body, mind and wealth and are rendering seva towards the same cause. The Sanatan ashram is Devlok itself.
