Tokyo (Japan) : If we think that, “one to two sips of alcohol a day will not cause us any harm”, then this thought is completely wrong. The Japanese researchers have found out that consumption of even smallest quantity of alcohol can raise the risk of cancer. The risk rises by 5 % by drinking 1 sip of alcohol daily for 10 years or 2 sips of alcohol daily for 5 years.
1. Based on a study published in the research paper on cancer, the risk of cancer decreases by not taking alcohol at all. This paper focuses on the ill effects of alcohol on the human body and the types of cancers that can it can cause.
2. The research team conducted a medical examination of 63232 cancer patients from 33 general hospitals in Japan and studied the data collected with respect to the parameters of gender, age, period of hospital admission etc. in detail.
