1. Santan Ganesh
‘This Ganapati is worshiped to beget children or a son.
1 A . Mantra to be recited when offering a prayer
Santanganapataye Namaha (सन्तानगणपतये नमः ।)
2. Ucchishta Ganapati
Ucchishta means feeling some lacunae in life or that your desires have remained unfulfilled. By worship of this Ganapati all your desires are fulfilled. Besides you are relieved from debt, poverty, make continuous financial and worldly progress, acquire wealth, assets and investments through worship of this Ganapati. Generally it is good to worship Him on a Wednesday or the day of Ganesh Chaturthi.
2 A. Basic mantra of worship of Shri Ganesh
Om Ekadantaya Vidmahe Vakratundaya Dhimahi l Tannodanti Prachodayat ll (ॐ एकदन्ताय विद्महे वक्रतुण्डाय धीमहि । तन्नोदन्ती प्रचोदयात् ॥)
3. Vighnaharta Ganesh
Releasing a devotee from a calamity is the objective of worship of this Ganesh. Affixing a picture of this Ganapati in your home if you invoke and worship Him then He rushes to the rescue of His devotees.
3 A. Mantra for worship of Ganesh
“Om Ekadantaya Vidmahe Vakratundaya Dhimahi l Tannovighnaha Prachodayat ll (ॐ एकदन्ताय विद्महे वक्रतुण्डाय धीमहि । तन्नोविघ्नः प्रचोदयात् ॥)
4. Chintamani Ganesh
Every individual whether rich or poor has some worry (chinta). You will find hardly anyone who has no worries. Worries may be related to business, studies, wealth, health, marriage or bearing children, future of children etc. To overcome such worries worship ‘Chintamani’.
4 A. Mantra of worship
Chant the mantra Om namo vighnaharaya Gan Ganapataye namaha (ॐ नमो विघ्नहराय गं गणपतये नमः ।) 11 times
5. Vidyapradayak Ganapati
In a family with children who are arrogant, unable to concentrate on studies and cannot recollect what they have studied the head of the family at an auspicious moment should install an idol of Vidyapradayak Ganesh at the main door of his house.
5 A. The mantra to be recited after charging the
installed Deity with the Principle of the Deity (pranpratishtha)
Om Dnyanrupaya namaha, Om Vidyanirhaya namaha, Om Vidyadhanaya namaha and Dnyanmudravate namaha‘(ॐ ज्ञानरूपाय नमः ।, ‘ॐ विद्यानिर्हाय नमः ।, ‘ॐ विद्याधनाय नमः । आणि ‘ज्ञानमुद्रावते नमः ।)

- All know two stotras of Shri Ganesh one of them being ‘Sankat nashan stotra which was composed by Devarshi Narad. It includes 12 Names of Shri Ganesh. This stotra should be recited thrice a day in the morning, afternoon and at dusk, for fulfillment of all desires.
- The other most common Holy verse of Shri Ganesh is the Ganapati Atharvashirsha. In it tharva means toxic. Atharva meas peace and shirsha means head. Atharvashirsha is the one who gives peace to the one who recites His verses. This was composed by Sage Ganak. In the Atharvashirsha first Shri Ganesh was praised and then meditated upon. Recitation of the Atharvashirsha overcomes all obstacles and liberates from all sins. Also one acquires all the four pursuits of the soul – Dharma (Righteousness). Artha (wealth), Kama (desire fulfillment) and Moksha (Final Liberation).
