The objective of Varnashramvyavastha (System of Classes and Stages of life) was to bring about progress in personal life through Ashramvyavastha (Stages of life) and to unite and bring about the progress of the society through Varnavyavastha (System of Classes).
Spiritually the Shudra varna is the greatest. The Shrīmadbhagwat proclaims the Shudra varna to be the supreme one, because it is allotted the task of serving all the other varnas.
An offering is an object or money gifted with faith and respect to a deserving individual. Offering is a kind of sacrifice. Here, man surrenders the ownership of a particular object or money, and the recipient becomes the owner.
To be able to undertake study of Spirituality, a Brahmaṇ should possess the qualities of an evolved seeker or a disciple, which are – curiosity about the Absolute Truth, desire for Liberation, humility, an attitude of service, surrender unto the Guru, obeying the Guru etc.
The main objective of Varnavyavastha was to bring about progress of the individual and the society without creating a conflict in the society, through mutual co-ordination of various elements in the society.
Chaturvarna has been created to guide on how to behave, what sadhana (Spiritual practice) should one perform as per one’s qualifications, that is, potential and requirement so as to obtain Anand (Bliss).
