In the land of Lord Parshuram Hindus resolve to
Protect Dharma
Devgad (Maharashtra) - Today Hindu Dharma
is under siege from all sides. On the one hand onslaughts
continue in the form of degeneration of the community
due to the blind following of western culture, anti-Hindu
laws being enacted by the secular leaders, increasing
pace of conversion of Hindus, destruction of Ram Setu,
shadow of Jihadi's on the Hindu community and its
temples, vandalism of idols of Hindu Deities etc.
and on the other, the Hindu community has not awakened
to the danger and remains inert and inactive. Therefore,
with the aim of making the Hindus aware of the ensuing
dangers and preparing them for protection of Dharma
and unifying them, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS)
conducted a Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha on Phalgun
Shuddha Chaturthi 1929 (11th March 2008) in Jamsande-Devgad.
The Sabha held in the land of Lord Parshuram attracted
more than 2200 Hindus who vociferously resolved to
counter the aggressions on Hindu Dharma!
The Sabha was held on the grounds opposite Jamsande
High School. H.H. Parulekar Maharaj, a Saint from
Varad, Malvan lit the traditional lamp. Present on
the dais were H.H. Sawant Maharaj (of H.H. Gagangiri
Maharaj Sampradaya from Vengurla), Mr. Ramesh Shinde
(Spokesperson of HJS for West Bharat) and Mr. Vinay
Panvalkar (Sanatan Sanstha). Some highlights are presented
here.

In a monarchy, the Saints were honoured first;
but in a Democracy, the honour goes to leaders!
In a monarchy, the Saints were honoured first; but
in a Democracy the honour goes to leaders! Chhatrapati
Shivaji Maharaj could kill Afzal Khan on the strength
of blessings of Deities and the Saints. Today the
qualities required for manly endeavour are sadly missing
in the politicians. Through his action, Shivaji Maharaj
showed that he was a great king. Today the Government
machinery is riddled with corruption and immorality.
The task of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti is vast. If everyone
sacrifices for the sake of Dharma, it will
not be long when the sufferings end. I bless HJS!

First step for a Dharmik awakening is spiritual
practice
The first step for a Dharmik awakening is spiritual
practice. Doing spiritual practice is the most effective
remedy for changing the lives of people. - Mr.
Vinay Panvalkar
If art is utilised for mass awakening, it can lead
to a mass movement!
Our own Hindus indulge in denigration of our Deities
through Bhajans and Dashavatar. If we
ourselves are doing this, why should MF Husain be
blamed? This is a regional art; but it is also a means
of mass awakening. If art is utilised for this, it
can lead to a mass movement. When flex-posters about
the Sabha were being put up in Devgad town, the Police
said, "If anything untoward happens, you will be held
responsible." Why do the Police not arrest those who
indulge in untoward incidents? Do the Police have
the guts to say this to Muslims? It is because Hindus
keep quiet that such things happen. Today Pujya Sambhaji
Bhide Guruji, who is 78 years old, is caned by the
Police. The main reason for such acts is the fact
that Hindus do not come together and unite. - Mr.
Ramesh Shinde
