MESSAGE TO SEEKERS
|
H.H. Dr. Athavale |
Only well-trained Hindu seekers are capable of protecting the Nation and Dharma!
The capacity to protect, in percentages -
1. Rulers (Army and Police) - 10%
2. Common Hindu - 10%
3. Trained Hindus - 30%
4. Trained Hindu seekers - 50%
Due to the critical times, it is impossible to protect all Hindus; similarly Hindus who are unhappy about the situation of the Nation and Dharma, are not worthy of living in the
'Divine Kingdom'. Even if it is impossible for the Hindus fighting at an emotional level to understand this, the seekers must keep this in mind.
Study the Saints, but do not try to analyse their actions!
During His last visit to South Bharat 6-7 months ago, Pujya Deshpandeji scolded the seekers many times. Meetings with seekers and their satsangs for review of mistakes were also cancelled a few times. This time, He did not do any such thing; hence I felt that His anger had reduced due to His spiritual progress; but these were my incorrect thoughts. Upon this, H.H. Dr. Athavale said,
"Pujya Deshpandeji was not angry this time because the quantum of mistakes of seekers was less. Saints always maintain an observer's stance and behave according to the law of reflection."
- Dr. Prakash Ghali, Sanatan's Mulki Ashram.
(Only Saints of a higher level have a right to say something about Saints. Seekers will understand from this example how it is wrong for seekers to try and analyse Saints.
- H.H. Dr. Athavale)
Just as Saints look different, seekers of the same spiritual level are also different!
Keep this in mind and avoid comparing seekers.
Just as the gross body of everyone and also the Saints is different, their mental sheath, i.e. likes and dislikes, personality defects and qualities are also different. Their intellect and study is different. This applies to seekers too. Thus there is a lot of difference felt between Mr. Ramesh Gadkari and Mr. Gurunath Dabholkar even though they have same spiritual level (60%). Seekers should be able to go beyond the gross differences perceived by the intellect and be able to study others' intense desire, spiritual emotion, ego, curiosity, leadership qualities, and spiritual level etc. From this one will understand what is to be learnt from whom.
Write dates as per the Hindu Panchang!
We are so influenced by the English calendar, that we are unable to instantly tell the month according to the Hindu Panchang. Scientifically, and for accuracy we should use our Hindu Panchang for time calculation not only for celebrating birthdays according to tithi, but in all aspects of our life. To start this and to develop pride towards our Hindu culture, initially everyone should develop a habit of writing the date according to the Hindu Panchang. One can write the English date in brackets for others to understand; which can be stopped once we get into a habit of calculating time as per the Hindu Panchang. Start your efforts for this to day it self!
Such will be the transparency in the Divine Kingdom!
So far, 5 seekers of Sanatan have become Saints. At least another 10 seekers will become Saints within the next 4 years.
'Would-be' Saints of Sanatan should keep the following points in mind to avoid developing an ego of being a Saint!
1. Even though we address everyone above the 70% spiritual level, as 'Pujya', the one who has reached this spiritual level should always remain in shishyabhav
(disciple-bhav) by keeping in mind that the spiritual level of those who have become Saints earlier and those who are progressing further is even more. One should be an ideal for other seekers by obeying the tradition of greeting the knowledgeable, elders, and spiritually progressed and treating them with respect.
2. H.H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj named 'Ramjidada' as H.H. Ramanand Maharaj. But when He was in the presence of H.H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj or even otherwise, H.H. Ramanand Maharaj always lived and still lives as
'Ramjidada'.
3. The supreme bliss in duality, lies in the shishyabhav and not in Guru-bhav, thus I too like shishyabhav. For this reason we celebrate Gurupournima for H.H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj.
Seekers should make efforts as the seekers of Ramnathi Ashram, so that there will not be any need for Training camps!
That which was not done by numerous responsible sevaks despite attending personal guidance for years, many meetings, study classes, Training camps etc., has been done by the seekers residing in Ramnathi Ashram.
For 5-6 months now, a fragrance is experienced from the body of the responsible sevaks in the Granth (Holy texts) section, Mr. Mukul Gadgil and Mr. Sandeep Alshi. On 28.2.2008, fragrance started emanating from the notebook of a responsible sevak of the art section, Mr. Raju Sutar. On the second day, one could get fragrance from his body from a distance of 3 feet. Now Mr. Sutar does spiritual healing on those who have negative energy distress.
The speciality of these three in vyashti sadhana is their bhav, intense desire, curiosity, less ego, and in samashti sadhana they are honest and have leadership qualities. They did not go anywhere to learn these qualities. They always try to do their seva to perfection. If this was practised by the attendees of the training camp and other seekers, then there will be no need for training camps!
Solve all complaints to serve in the Divine Kingdom
Until all complaints of Sanatan seekers in each district are solved, we cannot take them further on the path of spirituality. Till then, God will not give us
the responsibility to handle His Kingdom!
(Ref: 'Dainik Sanatan Prabhat')
H.H. Dr. Athavale does not guide on the worldly aspects!
Few seekers doing spiritual practice under the guidance of Sanatan Sanstha inform H.H. Dr. Athavale about their wedding plans. Later, these seekers tell others that,
"H.H. Dr. Athavale has asked us to get married". Please remember H.H. Dr. Athavale does not guide seekers on their worldly issues in life such as jobs, marriage, financial issues etc. He only guides seekers in terms of their spiritual practice. This has been clarified many times earlier. Seekers should remember that getting married or not, and with whom, happens according to each one's destiny.
Use your intense desire to enhance qualities necessary for sadhana!
H.H. Dr. Athavale disclosed the status of spiritual progress of all residents, workers and seekers in Ramnathi Ashram, Goa and the remedy. Some became nervous on this and doubted if their spiritual practice was continuing appropriately. H.H. Dr. Athavale then gave the perspective that,
"All of them have a common quality i.e. intense desire, because of which they are in the Ashram for so many years. Intense desire has 80% importance in Spirituality. They should benefit from this and make efforts in the correct direction in sadhana, only then will they progress. Those who have been sent home for vyashti sadhana, as an atonement, should also think in this perspective. Thus, instead of becoming nervous, seekers should develop an intense desire within themselves and enhance other qualities necessary for sadhana.
Following points can be kept in mind.
1. Contemplate continuously on where do we lack, what must be improved etc. Efforts and introvertedness are important on this path.
2. Personality defects and ego retard our intense desire; and spiritual progress too. Make efforts for removal of personality defects and ego.
3. H.H. Dr. Athavale has created the Ashram for seekers to learn fast and progress spiritually. If a learning attitude is not there, we will not benefit.
4. Sacrifice is an important quality in Spirituality. Our body, mind and intellect is sacrificed by doing as per others wish and obeying the Ashram rules.
5. To progress in worldly life, one has to struggle; then how can 'attaining God' be so easy? How can we progress spiritually if we do not make efforts?
6. For progressing spiritually and imbibing the qualities of God completely, keep small goals, fix time limits, and keep trying in an organised manner. H.H. Dr. Athavale is with us. He is definitely going to get the sadhana done from us. Have the faith that every incidence in our life, which is necessary for our sadhana takes place due to His wish.
Imbibe qualities which we lack, enhance qualities which we have, those which are enhanced, use them for Guru's mission; and those which are being used, offer them at His feet!
