How does one get a vision of The
Supreme God if He is unmanifest and formless ? If God is
one, then how has He been described in so many forms ? If
deities too quarrel amongst themselves and sometimes even
lose a battle to demons why should one worship them? The
Vedas
consider Lord Indra and Varunas Supreme, the Shaiva and
Vaiíhnav sects proclaim Lord Shiva and Lord Víshnu
respectively as The Supreme God. After all these controversies
who is the greatest of them all ? Despite Rama and
Krushna both being incarnations, why is there such a vast
difference in Their behaviour ? Initially, several such
thoughts inundate the mind of a seeker. These queries hinder
the worship of God with piety and spiritual emotion. This
volume has therefore been written with the aim of clarifying
who The Supreme God, God, incarnations and deities are.
Information on places of pilgrimage, deities of a village,
place, water, etc., is also provided.
